Utilizing my original photographic prints, this body of work explores the process of image making and the tactile nature of printed documents. Using large scale prints as the raw material for experimentation, these photo-interventions are arranged into new compositions to create works both serene and bewilderingly intertwined.

Thematically I have always been fascinated by the wilderness and natural landscape, and am driven to experiment with the physicality of printed materials as a means to observe and interpret my everyday encounters with my surroundings. The contour of forms and intricateness of hand cut details reflect the construction of hybrid spaces while investigating the way imagery can straddle the line between documentation and fabrication.

Through this project I have been exploring how colour, shadow and line articulate space while studying the way the sculptural properties of the cut-outs contribute to fabricating a sense of depth. Often these photographs become objects and are re-photographed and finished as large-scale chromogenic prints and thus become flattened into a two dimensional plane while freezing the shape, depth and subtlety of the photographic objects into a still and pure world.

I have been working diligently on this project since January 2015 towards a solo exhibition in Germany in May of 2017.
